About me
I am a New York-based, classically-trained actor with 25+ years of stage experience who also somehow amassed a 60k+ strong TikTok following. It all began with a pandemic pivot when Broadway and Regional theaters shut down, and work began pouring into my home studio. Today, I’m an Audie-nominated audiobook narrator with more than 175 titles under my belt.
At the heart of everything I do is a fascination with the human experience. Whether immersing myself in an audiobook, a stage play, or a foreign culture, I love the practice of putting myself in someone else's shoes. No matter which name I narrate under, I use the recording booth to travel the world, armed with every accent and dialect I can learn.
Amy Hutchins | Grounded & Dramatic: When narrating under my own name, my work spans thrillers, memoirs, and gripping fiction where the world is a hard place. I excel at portraying the raw vulnerability of complex characters who keep their guards up. They may seem flawed or abrasive at first, but peeling back their layers always exposes their deep, vulnerable humanity.

Amelia Hugh | Fantasy & Romance Alter Ego: Under my pseudonym, Amelia Hugh, I step into heart-opening stories, whimsical worlds, and sweeping romances. I open my heart entirely to the text, diving into the journeys of dreamers, idealists, and fierce heroines with zero judgment and absolute empathy.

Accents & Dialects: My mother, a speech pathologist, always said I could sing before I could speak. That early ear for melody and language sparked a lifelong love for travel and a beautifully nerdy fascination with accents. I am fluent in Spanish, learned Italian for a trip abroad, and have studied German, Japanese, and Welsh. Having performed a vast range of dialects on stage and in the booth, I love bringing authentic, global voices to my performances.

Connecting with Audiences:
I love pulling back the curtain by live-streaming my recording sessions (with author permission). This interactive process draws my passionate TikTok and voracious Discord communities directly to the story. By turning the solitary act of narration into a shared celebration, I help raise visibility and increase audiobook sales, especially for Indie Authors.

(With Michael Stewart Allen, Book of Will, Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, directed by Bonnie Monte)
(On vacation in Scotland, soaking up the accents)
